Automatic selection system TOMMY The C.M.A. TOMMY is a new and revolutionary machine for automatic sorting of destemmed grapes. It allows to mechanically remove almost all the vegetables components (jacks, leaves, etc.) remaining on destemmed grapes, without use of manpower.
It is constituted of a stainless steel structure with first a vibrating table (TOMMY TABLE) that receives grapes from the destemmer and doing a first sorting of grapes (to remove leaves stems, jacks, not mature small grapes, ruined peels, etc.) trough a plan opportunely holed that also allows to remove the excess of the juice.
The juice is successively drained to separate it from remaining solid parts trough a removable grill positioned into the inferior collection tank. The grapes after first passage arrives on the sorting belt (TOMMY BELT).
The belt is a kind of perforated belt of appropriate size holes depending from the type of grapes worked (adaptable on dimensions of the grapes).
The belt allows the grapes to fall below, helping it with a light vibration, while the grape stems remains entangled on it and being transported by the rotation of the same belt.
A special roll with brushes effectuate the cleaning of the belt therefore the expulsion of all the extraneous parts.
The waste product is channelled toward the spillway while the selected product continues falling on the crushing rollers or on another sorting table to effectuate a further control of the selected product.
